LUSH Review: Porridge Soap

A couple of months ago, I went for a small shopping on LUSH at SM North Edsa. It was actually my first to buy at the said brand. Actually, my very reason for buying was to sign for the “Fight Animal Testing Petition” because it’s duty and my passion. It’s not really a news since I have been doing this for a year now. I was really happy to see my signature on the store’s display. I hope you sign the petition too. 🙂

I decided to buy the cheapest since LUSH in here is expensive. Hehehe. So, I picked up the Porridge Soap and I fell in love with the smell. I wanna eat it. Hehehe. I really suck at describing things so I will post the description of the soap given by LUSH.

Orange juice

Orange juice refreshes the skin and helps to keep it clear with citric acid.

Pinhead oatmeal

Pinhead oatmeal adds a fantastic texture to our Porridge soap, and calms the skin with the oat milk. The oatmeal also exfoliates your skin and scrubs the dirt away

It’s a nutritious breakfast bar.

Porridge is a very gentle soap that really helps to care as it cleans. When the oats mix with hot water, they create a calming milk that softens your entire body.

Water (Aqua), Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera), Propylene Glycol, Pinhead Oatmeal (Avena sativa), Fresh Organic Orange Juice (Citrus Aurantium dulcis), Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Labdanum Resinoid (Cistus labdaniferus), Sweet Wild Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis), Glycerine, Sodium Chloride,EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Limonene

  • What happened to my skin after using it?
After my first wash, my skin instantly became soft. With continuous usage for a week, my dry skin became smooth. It exfoliated my skin effectively. My skin used to be really itchy but after using this product, it lessened the itchiness. You can feel the smoothness right after you rinse. So I guess you have to use the product everyday.
  • Does the smell stay all day long?
To be honest, the smell doesn’t stay all day long.  But, it does smell really good when you use it in the shower.
  • Is it worth my money?
Yes, it’s definitely worth your money. It’s cruelty-free, organic and effective. The product costs
  • Longevity
It can last for a month, depending on how you use it and how you take care of it. To make it even last longer, I cut them in small chunks, 6 at most. A small chunk lasts for a week. The whole product can be used for 16 washes but if you cut them, they can be used for an extended amount of time. After I use the soap, I put it in a paper and let it dry there. Don’t store somewhere it could get wet because it would melt, nor put it in hot place.
  • Disadvantages
The oats will scatter around the floor. Take the time to clean it. Hehehehehhhe. 😛
  • Overall Rating
                     ♥♥♥♥♥ & ★★★★
I was not paid by the company to review or feature their product. I purchased this with my own money and with my own will.

Accessories Collective Haul and Others <3

Hello there! I am apologizing for the lack of posts. I am currently busy with school as I have told you for the millionth time. I am focusing on my requirements lately but I found a time today to post. By the way, my graduation is on March 31, 2012. I am really excited! Finally, no more school. Hehehe. After the graduation, my family and I we’ll be having two-week vacation on Ilocos. Another excitement! Anyways, going back to the topic of this post, I will be showing you some fashion items that I bought with my Christmas money. They are really cute and super affordable. I bought these somewhere here in Iloilo. I don’t to make this post long so here are now the items..

Oh My Goodness! I almost freaked out when I saw this at the store. I wanted to have a feather extension for such a long time. Finally, I got one. This is around P28. 🙂

I used to “not attracted to animal accessories’ but now I am extremely attracted. This vintage long necklace caught my eyes when I saw. I was surprised with the price. The turquoise gem is gorgeous. I’m not sure but I believe this is around 50-70 Pesos.

Owls are so in right now so I got myself an owl ring. It’s like a mother owl with her babies. They look so adorable together. If I remember correctly, this one costs P23. So cheap, right? 😉

Another feather accessory. I am so obsessed with feather stuffs right now. This is P15.

A cute bow earrings. I think they are an imitation of a Juicy Couture earring. I don’t remember the price of this one but I think this one is around P15 too.

The last thing that I bought from the shop was this hair pin with flowers, pearls and studs. Aren’t they adorable? I’m not a pear person but I do these pins. But, because of low quality, the paraphernalia can be removed easily. Each pair of this is P10.

So those are the things that I got from that store. I will name it yet since I will buy some prizes their for the upcoming giveaway. The next products I will be showing came from SM. They had a sale for accessories so I grabbed a few. It saw a fantastic deal and my total purchase was under P100.

The first thing that I got from the mall was this choker-like-must-be-tied up necklace. Forgive me guys, I don’t what this is called. Hehe. A lot of females wear it especially local celebrities so I decided to give it a try. I was surprised when I saw the price. Guess how much was this?…ummm.. P25. Yes, P25! What a deal, right?

The last fashion things I got from the were these bow hair ties. They were on the kids section but I seriously don’t care. They are really cute. The white one was under P30 and blue one was under P40.

The last thing that I got from the mall was this Organica Story Exfoliating Body Polish. I was running out of my exfoliator so I went ahead and look for a new replacement. I saw this at Watson’s and grabbed it for the reasons that it’s certified organic and was not tested on animals. It got this last year for P139. Now, it’s only P99. 😉

So, that was some of the products I bought with my Christmas money. I don’t want to write a lengthy post so I just shown you the fashion items I got. I hope you enjoyed this post. I am not bragging in any way or form. I was not paid to show these products. I’m thinking of posting a tag, maybe Products I’ve Hit Pan On? What do you think guys? Hit the comment box to respond. I will post more when I have time.

Have a nice day everyone. Bye! 🙂
