Thrift Haul #1

A lot of Filipinos, from lower to upper class, loves shopping at Ukay-Ukay stores (Thrift stores) because of the great bargains they could find like finding high end items, sometimes unused and still tagged. I remember spotting a Versace pants when I visited Magarbo. Unfortunately, the piece was small for me.

Last week, I went to Iloilo City and visited Magarbo to find clothes for work. Guess what I found? An unused and tagged Marks&Spencer  long-sleeved shirt for Php 100 only!  Such a steal! The store sells all their items for 100 bucks each. A little much for a thrifted  clothing though. The shirt has metallic gold detailing. 🙂

The following day was our market day because there was an ukay-ukay sale. Actually, it’s being held every week. I went to the market and browsed the area. Then I spotted a seller which sells tops for only Php 10 each. As a thrifty person, of course I did’t let the offer pass. I got 5 pieces but I gave one to my mother because it was big for me.

I wasn’t able to take a picture of the fourth shirt because it was on the laundry. 🙂 This last piece below was also bought on the same place but in another time. This was sold for 40 bucks only because my mother bargained the price. This is my favorite purchase! ❤

I’m happy with the items I got and really satisfied. Not all of my clothes are from Ukay-Ukay stores. Before I end this post, I will be sharing you some tips about thrifting.

  • Choose items which are in good condition and clean. Most stains cannot be removed so it’s safe to buy clean clothes.
  • Check the brands because you can jackpot signature pieces. Some of them are still tagged.
  • Dig and dig. That’s the biggest secret. 🙂
  • Before washing the clothes, soak them first in hot water with laundry soap/powder to remove bacteria and unpleasant smell.

Do you thrift clothes too? Where do you usually buy? Hit me a comment to answer. By the way, I have a personal blog, if you are interested visit: Circle Chick  Talk to you soon. Have a nice day! 😀

Accessories Collective Haul and Others <3

Hello there! I am apologizing for the lack of posts. I am currently busy with school as I have told you for the millionth time. I am focusing on my requirements lately but I found a time today to post. By the way, my graduation is on March 31, 2012. I am really excited! Finally, no more school. Hehehe. After the graduation, my family and I we’ll be having two-week vacation on Ilocos. Another excitement! Anyways, going back to the topic of this post, I will be showing you some fashion items that I bought with my Christmas money. They are really cute and super affordable. I bought these somewhere here in Iloilo. I don’t to make this post long so here are now the items..

Oh My Goodness! I almost freaked out when I saw this at the store. I wanted to have a feather extension for such a long time. Finally, I got one. This is around P28. 🙂

I used to “not attracted to animal accessories’ but now I am extremely attracted. This vintage long necklace caught my eyes when I saw. I was surprised with the price. The turquoise gem is gorgeous. I’m not sure but I believe this is around 50-70 Pesos.

Owls are so in right now so I got myself an owl ring. It’s like a mother owl with her babies. They look so adorable together. If I remember correctly, this one costs P23. So cheap, right? 😉

Another feather accessory. I am so obsessed with feather stuffs right now. This is P15.

A cute bow earrings. I think they are an imitation of a Juicy Couture earring. I don’t remember the price of this one but I think this one is around P15 too.

The last thing that I bought from the shop was this hair pin with flowers, pearls and studs. Aren’t they adorable? I’m not a pear person but I do these pins. But, because of low quality, the paraphernalia can be removed easily. Each pair of this is P10.

So those are the things that I got from that store. I will name it yet since I will buy some prizes their for the upcoming giveaway. The next products I will be showing came from SM. They had a sale for accessories so I grabbed a few. It saw a fantastic deal and my total purchase was under P100.

The first thing that I got from the mall was this choker-like-must-be-tied up necklace. Forgive me guys, I don’t what this is called. Hehe. A lot of females wear it especially local celebrities so I decided to give it a try. I was surprised when I saw the price. Guess how much was this?…ummm.. P25. Yes, P25! What a deal, right?

The last fashion things I got from the were these bow hair ties. They were on the kids section but I seriously don’t care. They are really cute. The white one was under P30 and blue one was under P40.

The last thing that I got from the mall was this Organica Story Exfoliating Body Polish. I was running out of my exfoliator so I went ahead and look for a new replacement. I saw this at Watson’s and grabbed it for the reasons that it’s certified organic and was not tested on animals. It got this last year for P139. Now, it’s only P99. 😉

So, that was some of the products I bought with my Christmas money. I don’t want to write a lengthy post so I just shown you the fashion items I got. I hope you enjoyed this post. I am not bragging in any way or form. I was not paid to show these products. I’m thinking of posting a tag, maybe Products I’ve Hit Pan On? What do you think guys? Hit the comment box to respond. I will post more when I have time.

Have a nice day everyone. Bye! 🙂

November 2011 Favorites + Small Haul

Hello there! I am apologizing for not posting this past month. As I have said before, I am busy with school and practicum. Today, I got the chance to post a blog so here I am.

Today, I will be posting about my November Favorites. There some products which I will not be including because they were mentioned in my August Favorites. I don’t want to be repetitive as much as possible. Click here to see the blog post. These products are still my favorites.

I will not be saying much about the products that I will be showing you since I don’t want to tire you with a long post. If you want a in-depth review with a certain product, please comment below. I will be starting with skincare.

1. Hortaleza, M.D. Acnesol Pimple Control 60mL

This is amazing for drying out pimples. It’s a life saver! Love it so much! This is actually my second bottle. I recommend this to everyone.

2. Revlon CustomeEyes Shadow & Liner (Naturally Glamorous)

This palette is great for everyday. It’s a like a mini dupe for the Naked Palette. The shadows are blendable and easy to work with. I checked the ingredients and I found out that this product is safe. It does not contain parabens.

3. elf   Studio Blush (Tickled Pink)

This blush is really sheer and I think that it won’t show up on medium to dark skin tones. I do like it because it gives a healthy natural pinkish glow. It’s not pigmented and it has micro glitters.

4. wet n wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow Single (Nutty)

This is one of the best eye shadows I own and I think it’s really unique. This is the only taupe eyeshadow I own but I am in love with it. This can be worn all-over the lid or just on the crease. I absolutely recommend this shadow!

5. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (Rosedew)

I am really sorry for the bad lighting. This not a dark-colored lipstick. It’s more of a pink-coral-mango shade with gold glitters in a pearlish-frosted finish. It’s good for work. I recommend it.

6. Shirley May Love More Eau de Toilette Spray

OMG. This fragrance smells so good! It’s a mixture of citrus scent and sophistication. I cannot describe the scent, please forgive me. It’s something that you would wear on a dinner date.

7. lipice Lip Balm (Grape Blackcurrant)

Ummm.. It’s methol lip balm with a fruity scent. It’s effective for cracked lips. It’s amazing!

Those are my favorites. I hope you try some of them. Yesterday and today I was at Robinson’s mall. Last night, I bought a pair of shoes for my practicum. It’s a cute shoes with cute heels. I got this pair of shoes for Php 699.75 at the Department Store.

Today, I went back to the mall after my duty. While I was searching for a cute pair of earrings, I saw this and immediately fell in love with it. I decided to buys it because it is simply gorgeous and besides, I don’t have this type of earrings and it has blue accent. Blue is one of my favorite colors. I got this for Php 99.

So, that’s all guys. I hope you like the items that I bought. My next post will be about how I hang my scarves. Rating, liking and commenting is deeply appreciated. By the way, you can follow my blog if you have a WordPress account. If you don’t have a WP account, you can still subscribe at this blog through e-mail. There’s a box saying “subscribe” at the sidebar. You will get updated by receiving an e-mail about a my new post.

That’s  all for now. Thank you so much for reading this post and visiting my blog. Have a nice day! Bye! 🙂

My Favorite Necklace – Life is Beautiful Drop Necklace by Papemelroti

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. 🙂 Today, I will be posting about a certain necklace that I really love. I purchased this last Summer at SM North Edsa and I got addicted to it. I love it because it looks good with most of my outfits. I have worn it so much. It’s from Papemelroti (I’m so glad they have a website). Sadly, they don’t have a shop here in Iloilo so I don’t have access to them right now. I want to literally haul their stuffs because they are all artsy, crafty and super creative!

So, what do you think guys? Do you like it? Well, if you like this, you can buy this online. Isn’t it cool? Here’s the link: Be sure to check out their other products because they are really awesome. That’s it for now guys. Thank you so much for reading! Have a nice day! Bye! 🙂

Disclamer: The company didn’t pay me to mention their product nor their site. I bought this with my money.

Collective Makeup Haul: Summer Vacation & some products I got recently

Hello readers and visitors! I’m back with a haul. My vacation was over 2 weeks ago and the classes started like Monday last week. We start the class June here in the Philippines. Maybe some of you are wondering why is the title “Summer Vacation” when it’s still June? We only have 2 seasons: wet season and dry season. April and May are our summer months.

Going back to the main subject of this blog post, I will just show you the makeup products I bought because I don’t want this post to be so lengthy. Majority of these are eyeshadow (I’m suck a sucker for eyeshadow).  Before I start I just want to say that I didn’t get these things in one day, I spent my own money and I’m not a spoiled brat.

So I will start with the things I got from Manila..

When I got to SM North Edsa, the first counter I would like to visit was the wet N wild’s. I was really excited because we don’t have wNw here in Iloilo. I was browsing the counter and most of the products were 300 pesos and up. I was budgeting my money because I still have to buy other things (I don’t have work because I’m not allowed to and my dad give me monthly allowance). So I went for the single eyeshadow because they’re 199 each. But, I only bought 1. LOL. 😀

Then the next day I went to a Watson’s Drugstore at SM Annex. By the way, I bought the eye shadow above at the Department Store (SM North Edsa) at the main building. I went to the e.l.f. counter because I was eyeing for a certain quad. I was really happy with my purchase. I bought this product for 129 pesos.

e.l.f. Brightening Quad in Teal Dream

I bought this quad because of the blue shadow. Here’s a closer look…

Isn’t that gorgeous? Should I do a tutorial using quad? Let me know by posting a comment below. 🙂

The next product I will show is the product I was looking for so long. Finally, I got one. Guess what it is…

e.l.f. Eyelid Primer in Sheer

Oh my gosh. I finally got one! This is my first primer ever and I absolutely love this! I live in Iloilo and makeup brands are limited in here.

Swatch in natural light..

After a few days, I went to the mall again because my mom played BINGO almost everyday and we went with her. I decided to pick my holy grail eyeshadow. I love this eyeshadow so much and this is my 2nd pan of it.

Nichido Eyeshadow in Gold Foil

Those are the makeup items I got during my summer vacation. I will show you the items I got here in Iloilo. Last last week I went to SM Iloilo City because I watched a movie with my cousin. While waiting for her, I went to the Department Store and went to the e.l.f counter. I picked up a liquid pen liner and an all over cover stick.

e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige

This one is really good for yellow skin. It covers up pretty well and it stays on. But for sever dark circles, this won’t cover up. I will pick up a different color for my dark circles soon.

Again, this is perfect for light-fair yellow skin. (If that make sense.. hehe)

So that’s it. I’m really really sorry for not posting lately. I have been very busy. I hope you try the products that I bought. A post is coming up. Bye! Have a nice day 😉

Collective Haul Part 1 (Beauty Products)

Hello everyone! So, I have a collective haul. Okay. I confess that I bought 2 eye shadows and 1 corrector powder. I broke the rules on PTP. But, before you say anything I wanna say that I finished 2 items from my Project 10 Pan. It was the mascara and makeup remover and my eyeshadow will be done soon. I will be posting an update soon. Anyways, this haul will be divided into two parts since I got a lot of stuff. Mostly nail polish and accessories. The accessories, clothes and others will be posted on a different post. Please be reminded that I didn’t get this in one day. I am not reviewing anythings since this is a long post. I will be doing a separate review post if you want to. 😉

I bought all of this with my own money. No one paid me to show the products. I am apologizing in advance because my images are not in their best quality. My camera was not available so I used my mom’s phone. My phone’s camera has s horrible quality. Some images were taken from websites and I don’t claim any rights to them. I am crediting those sites.

Last week of March I went to Robinson’s Mall  Iloilo and I decided to buy a mascara since my mascara has dried already. *I only own one mascara. I went to HBC and headed to San San Cosmetics.  I decided to pick the Long Lash Waterproof Mascara.

No image available. I can’t even link the product because it’s not available on their site.

Then I picked up a soap from Body Recipe (still at HBC). Anyways, these brands that I am mentioning are only available at HBC stores. You cannot get them in other stores. Though you can buy them online. Click HBC Home of Beauty Exclusives.

Body Recipe Skin Lightening Body Bar

I bought not because I’m such a vain person that I want to be so fair. I bought this because I have skin pigmentation problem. I don’t have an even skin tone.

Then I went to their nail polish rack and I picked 3 nail polishes from San San. The colors that I picked up are not available in their site.

San San Nail Polish (Regular) in Warm Blue, Sea Green and Blue Sapphire

Then after a few days I went to SM Delgado. I bought some stuffs from Watsons for my personal needs such deodorants, napkins, etc. I am only going to show you the deodorant that I bought.

Nivea Extra Whitening Spray Deodorant

Btw, I’m not imitating Ingrid a.k.a misglamorazzi. I used this since December 2010 and this is my 4th bottle. As she said, this is only available in some Asian countries. This was exported from Thailand.

And then I picked up some nail polish again. They are from Caronia.

Caronia Nail Polish in Crystal (Frosted) and White Satin (Regular)

They look similar but in person they are not. Crystal is a sheer white polish with gold flexes. White Satin is just a regular white polish.

I also picked up an eyebrow trimmer from Nichido Cosmetics. I am really sorry again I forgot to take a picture of  it. Hehe. 🙂 I also picked up a pointed eyeshadow brush from Marionnaud.

Marionnaud Pointed Brush

This is not the exact name. Hehe. I’ll update this other times. Anyways, they don’t have a website.

I ran out of makeup remover and I used it in my Project 10 Pan so I picked up one. It’s also from Nichido Cosmetics.

Nichido Make-up Remover

I’ll do a review on this. That’s for sure. 😉

Just this Sunday I went to SM Manduriao. I did shop all by my self.  That was actually really boring. I waited for my cousin there for about 4 hours. I went crazy and bought a lot of stuff. Well some of those are clothes so they will be posted on another post.

So I went first to the Department store and I bought some empty small containers. I planned to visit Mom&Me Perfume Refilling and Cosmetic Station. They sell loose powders, correctors and shadows. They sell their stuffs  per gram and the container has a separate payment. I already knew about it so that’s why I bought the empty containers. I picked up 2 shadows and one corrector.

Shimmer Powder in Sunburst

Forgot the name. Duh, Hena!

Peach Corrector

After eating my snack I went to HBC (again). They have more products than the other branches. So I got lots of skin care stuffs and nail polish.

Hortaleza, M.D. Acnesol Pimple Control Soap

Body Recipe Eye Cream SPF 15

Body Recipe Skin Clarifying Facial Cleanser

This is not available at HBC’s site.

San San Eyeshadow Brush

This is not also available at their site.

Allue Glam Rock Nail Polish in Orange Jive

Allue Nail Polish in Pumpin’ Purple

Allue Glam Rock Nail Polish in Yellow Gig

Finally and lastly, I bought the infamous elf Mechanical Eyelash Curler. This product was on my wishlist and  now I got it. Yay!

elf Mechanical Eyelash Curler

So, those are all of the beauty stuffs I got these past few weeks. I hope I had not missed anything. Part 2 will be uploaded soon. I know this post is really long, I’m sorry for that. I forgot to post the prizes, I’m sorry again. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you have any request, please put it on the requests’ page linked above. That’s all for now. Have a nice day everyone. Bye! ❤
